She arrived to PAWS in pretty rough shape with some very painful skin, but with love, care, and lots of resilience, she has absolutely blossomed into the beautiful, happy, and healthy pup she was always meant to be. Now, she's ready for her next chapter: a forever home to call her very own! Schnitzel's fosters describe her as the total package-loving, loyal, curious, and incredibly sweet. She's the kind of dog who simply wants to be wherever you are, happily following you from room to room just to stay part of the action. Whether you're cooking dinner, working from home, or relaxing on the couch, Schnitzel will be your devoted little shadow! She has a wonderful balance of mellow and playful energy. Perfectly content curling up beside you for a cozy evening, but she also delights in adorable bursts of zoomies and playful moments that are guaranteed to make you smile. She loves toys, especially tug toys, durable chews, and a peanut butter-filled Kong that keeps her happily occupied. Toys are her treasure, and she's currently learning that sharing is part of the fun too! Schnitzel is very food motivated, which makes her engaged and responsive in training. She already knows "sit," responds well to vocal cues, and enjoys learning-just be sure to keep snacks out of reach because her curious nose will investigate! She thrives with routine and structure. She is house trained when on a consistent schedule, walks nicely on leash, and enjoys taking her time to sniff and explore the world around her. In foster care, Schnitzel has done wonderfully living with other dogs and cats as well. She often tries to initiate play and can be a bit persistent when she's feeling playful, but she redirects easily with a toy or treat, and would love to continue spending time with four-legged friends that match her energy! More than anything, Schnitzel loves her people fiercely, and would truly thrive in a home where someone is around often to share life's little moments with her. She's a perfect medium size with an even more perfect personality, the ideal blend of calm companionship and playful spirit. Warming up quickly to new friends, offers gentle kisses, and she has the sweetest, most soulful face that will absolutely melt your heart. Schnitzel has already proven how resilient and loving she is, and now she just needs a family to love her back forever.
