This beauty is Sorsha. She is very true to the 100% German Shepard dog that she is. She is a working-line dog that thrives off new tasks, training and experiences. I have taken her to social events and on rides by herself, and she is quite mellow and proper, but given the opportunity she loves to thrash around in a river and run barking through a field. Sorsha does seem to have some separation anxiety (that we are working on) but it is likely due to her being abandoned by her former owner. She was brought in to a high-kill shelter in CA as a stray, but still wearing a collar. Sorsha was within an hour of euthanasia because despite how majestic she is, she had been there for "too long" and was a dog with "no interest." We were lucky enough to grab her just in time. She is truly a shadow. You could be in the middle of Mardi Gras and not lose this dog bc she would keep track of you. Sorsha would thrive in a consistent, patient, active and loving house that could provide the “jobs” that this working dog needs and the love to help her learn she is safe and won’t be thrown away again.
