About Magic Mike

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Magic Mike’s journey has been unique—he arrived as a stray, waiting for his people to return, only to discover he’d been left behind. Since then, he’s blossomed into one happy and healthy Lucky Dog, showing everyone what a sweet and awesome companion he is. Despite his service vest and certificates not being genuine, there’s no doubt Mike has the temperament and smarts to shine. He’s a tall, 75-pound bully-mix with a striking black and white coat and a gentle, affectionate nature. Mike is famously friendly around all sorts of animals—including cats, horses, and goats (with supervision). He thrives on learning and knows just about every obedience command—sit, stay, heel, and more, both by voice and hand signals. Whether he’s catching treats mid-air, waiting politely at doorways, or riding well in the car, Mike shows off just how polite and responsive he can be. He’s particularly fond of bouncy balls, hard chews, and a good scratched chin. While house training is a work in progress, he’s sensitive and eager to please, responding well to guidance.
