About Casper
Casper arrived as a timid stray, wary and unsure, but his transformation has been remarkable. Thanks to his time with other dogs at the shelter, he's gained real confidence and learned to enjoy life—and playgroup time with his canine friends is now a favorite routine. Casper is on the shy side and tends to need a little time to adjust, so slow, patient introductions work best for him. He’ll need a second meeting with adopters before heading home, just to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Once he settles in, Casper reveals a lighthearted and goofy streak that makes him hard not to love. He really hopes to find a home with at least one friendly dog who can help him settle and give him the companionship he craves. Casper’s sensitive nature means he'll do best with teens and adults, rather than in a noisy household with small kids. With time and patience from his adopter—and a dog buddy by his side—he’ll blossom into an affectionate, loyal companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Casper
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Casper, as a Pit Bull Terrier, generally does best in a stable, loving home where he can feel secure and included. He thrives when part of his family’s daily life, especially in an environment that provides structure and routine.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Pit Bull Terriers like Casper benefit from access to a yard or regular walks, but they don’t require a massive yard as long as they get daily exercise and playtime. A securely fenced area is ideal, but apartment living works if exercise needs are met.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Pit Bull Terriers can be good with respectful, older kids, but given Casper’s shy, sensitive personality, he’ll do best in a home with teenagers and adults rather than small children.
