We've recently learned that Millie is heartworm positive. Before treatment can begin, she needs time to gain weight, heal her wounds, and regain overall strength. Because of this, she also cannot be spayed until after heartworm treatment is complete. What this means: Millie will need time to safely gain weight and stabilize Heartworm treatment will follow once she's healthy enough Spay will be completed after treatment This entire process may take 9 months to a year But we don't want Millie sitting in limbo for all that time.
