Meet Una! Una is the kind of dog who effortlessly wins hearts wherever she goes. Una is so happy and has an incredibly loving personality, she’s the perfect balance of independent and affectionate. She enjoys her own space but absolutely adores being around her people—whether that’s lounging in her own bed or sneaking into yours for some extra snuggles. Una came to us after living life as a chained dog, alongside multiple other dogs who were surrendered together, including some of her puppies. When she arrived, she was heartworm positive and had clearly spent much of her life having litter after litter. Despite everything she’s been through, Una’s spirit has remained incredibly gentle and full of love. Now, it’s finally her turn to experience the safe, happy, and fulfilling life she truly deserves. This sweet girl is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, and she handles both like a pro. She’s calm in her crate, does great when left alone, and isn’t prone to barking or mischief. Una has a moderate energy level, making her a great fit for a variety of lifestyles. She loves activities like fetch, tug-of-war, and going for walks, and she’d happily join you for hikes or outdoor adventures. When playtime is over, she’s just as content to relax and unwind by your side. Una truly shines when meeting new people—she’s warm and welcoming to everyone she meets. She also gets along beautifully with other dogs and even cats! While she may chase smaller animals due to her natural prey drive, her gentle and affectionate temperament makes her an excellent companion for most homes. She’s been around children (including infants and toddlers) and has shown nothing but kindness and patience. Una has no history of aggression and is simply described as “the sweetest and most loving dog.” On leash, she’s still learning but is doing well and responds positively to guidance (especially when treats are involved!). She already knows “sit” and is eager to continue learning with her future family.
