Prius is one of the 20+ cats we took in from Marie Street back in December. The owner/feeder of all these cats passed away, and she was one of the ones that we trapped from outside. Suddenly, the food she relied on was gone, and she was trapped and brought to a new strange place...this would be scary to anybody. We're helping her learn that love and care didn't leave, and it is just now at our rescue instead of outside. Considering all of this, Prius is still a little scared, trying to figure out this new world, but we've seen it before—just like the others who once feared the unknown, Prius will come around. She's already making progress, slowly realizing that gentle hands bring comfort and soft voices mean kindness. With a patient and understanding home, she'll blossom into the loving little lady that we know she can be.
