Hero is a strong, 85-pound chocolate and vanilla pit bull terrier with plenty of love to give. At just three years old, Hero has already overcome a lotāhe needed TPLO surgeries on both his knees, so heās been recuperating in a foster home. Heās looking for a home where he can be the only pet for now, so his legs stay safe from any rough play. Apartment, condo, or house, Hero is flexible, but a fenced yard would be a bonus. This guyās leash and crate skills are solid, heās housebroken, and he already knows basic commands like sit, down, and paw. He loves mental games and puzzle feeders, and he really shines when thereās a treat on the other side of a challenge. Hero gets along great with dogs but needs a home without cats. Given his size and strength, heās best suited for families with kids over ten. Heās outgoing and playful, always ready for a round of fetch or to make a new friend. Hero is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and free of heartworm. Heās currently being fostered in Chicago, and adopters should be within two hours of the city.
