About Cow
Meet Cow, a delightful cuddle bug looking for her forever home. She joined our care after her previous family could no longer keep her and has shown nothing but gentleness and affection toward everyone at the shelter. Cow is a fan of treats, pets, and being close to her people. Having spent some time decompressing in a foster home, she adapted quickly. On her freedom ride, she settled in calmly and chose to sleep curled up next to her human on the first night. Cow sleeps soundly, emitting adorable snores, and truly thrives on companionship. This lovely lady is fully house trained and remains calm around all sorts of everyday noises – think elevators, thunderstorms, bikes, and even vacuum cleaners. While she might bark at sounds until she feels safe, that tendency decreases with time and familiarity. During walks, Cow enjoys leisurely strolls, shows no interest in chasing wildlife, and handles the hustle of city streets like a pro. She's alert around other dogs but maintains a neutral demeanor unless approached by a reactive one. Cow has a playful side, too. She loves rolling in the grass, wiggling on the bed, and showcasing her intelligence with puzzle toys. Once trust is established, her loyalty and affection shine through. She's ready for a home where she can feel loved and secure. If you want to meet this sweetheart, visit our downtown Chicago adoption center at 510 N. LaSalle. We offer same-day adoptions and are here to support you through the process. Click apply to start the adoption process.
