Addie is a very smart pup who is already operating at a level of intelligence that makes us slightly concerned she may know our passwords. This girl is smart, silly, and full of personality. She plays beautifully in our dog playgroups with dogs of all sizes and has a blast making friends, zooming around, and generally acting like she is the social coordinator of the entire yard (which she is also great at). Addie is fun, playful, athletic, and absolutely adorable but she is not a starter dog. She is more of a you've had dogs before and understand negotiations may occur kind of dog. Addie is also a certified Pool Queen. She races around the yard, dives into the kiddie pool like she is training for the Olympics, and then comes flying straight at you to make sure you, too, get to enjoy the water. Sharing is caring, and Addie is apparently very committed to community splash distribution. Addie has one of the most special ways of connecting with people. She doesn't just look at you, she looks into you in a way that makes you feel that she know your junk food of choice and maybe a few of your secrets. She is very tuned in and incredibly engaging with her people. Addie loves women and will happily seek out all the ladies she can hang with. She is more hesitant around men and will need time, patience, and a gentle approach to feel comfortable. She is also looking for an adult only home, as little ones tend to scare her. Addie will do best with someone who has dog experience, because without structure, she may very politely take over your home, reorganize your routine, and have you asking permission to sit on your own couch. She is a wonderful, funny, smart young dog who needs a home that can give her love, guidance, confidence-building, and clear boundaries. For the right person, Addie is going to be an incredible companion loyal, hilarious, deeply connected, and just the right amount of bossy. ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date.
