About Dr. Johns
Dr. Johns is a striking German Shepherd with a golden and red coat. After being left behind when his original owner moved, he’s landed in the care of a foster who is a dog trainer—and he’s really coming into his own. Dr. Johns excels with dogs his own size or larger and absolutely loves to run around, making him a great fit for an active home. Cats and small dogs are a hard no for him, so homes with those should look elsewhere. He’d do best where he has a fenced yard or with someone used to exercising large breeds. His leash manners still need some refinement, but he’s getting the hang of house training and will continue to improve with consistency. He’ll be starting heartworm treatment soon, and meet and greets with other dogs are required if you already have one at home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
