About Taz In
Let’s make it official, apply to adopt! Meet a truly unique bullmastiff who is looking for a forever family willing to provide him with a loving home. Raised in the country down south and now experiencing the busy sounds of the Midwest, he’s adjusting to his surroundings and can be sensitive to new noises. While he can grumble and isn’t the strong, silent type you might imagine, he offers plenty of personality in exchange for a place to belong. Currently living in a foster home with a submissive female bullmastiff, it’s recommended that he be the only dog, as he prefers not to share his toys or valued items. Thankfully, he responds well to redirection and listens to his foster mom. He enjoys short walks to sniff out new smells and is learning who deserves his bark and who can be ignored. With a high prey drive, homes without cats or small furry animals will suit him best. Highly food motivated, this big, handsome boy would benefit from ongoing training, especially under the guidance of someone experienced with large guardian breeds. He enjoys carrying stuffed animals, especially his beloved “dear bear,” and finds chewing bones both calming and rewarding. Though good with new people and the vet, he'll need proper introductions to strangers. Due to his size and guardian instincts, a home with older children is preferred. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm free. He has experienced some skin issues, especially on his feet, and may ultimately need specialized dog food or a vet’s prescription. His favorite things include cozying up with pillows and blankets—tucked under his chin during a good cuddle. If you seek a sweet, loving bullmastiff who takes pride in being both a guardian and a snuggler, he might be the perfect addition to your life. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Questions about Taz In
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Bullmastiffs typically thrive in homes with securely fenced yards where they can relax and patrol. They do best with families who lead a relatively calm lifestyle and can offer plenty of companionship.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Bullmastiffs appreciate access to a moderate-sized yard but do not require extensive outdoor space. Regular short walks and a place to stretch their legs are usually enough for their exercise needs.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Bullmastiffs can be good with older children due to their gentle, protective nature, but their large size means supervision is necessary around young kids to prevent accidental knocks.
