About Birdie

Birdie was abandoned in West Virginia, but thanks to a kind stranger, she was kept safe before finding her way to the rescue. Birdie is a petite, medium-sized dog, sporting a short white coat dotted with brown ticking and freckles, hinting at a past somewhere between Pointer, Brittany, and bully breeds. She has a blocky head, a stout frame, and could put on a few more pounds to reach her best shape. Gentle and well-mannered on a leash, Birdie, about two years old, is still getting used to her new environment and the presence of so many other dogs. The change has left her a bit stressed, so time will tell how she does alongside canine companions. Birdie gets along well with children and is house trained, making her a suitable fit for a family home. Visits are welcome by appointment during the week or from noon to 3 pm on weekends.
