About Foxy
Foxy is possibly an Alaskan Klee Kai (miniature husky) ... About Foxy. She is a very sweet girl but can also have that aloof Husky nature. Meaning Foxy listens when she wants to. Not disobedient, just pretends she doesn't hear you and carries on with whatever she deems more important. We have other dogs as well as foster dogs periodically and she does great with them (big and small). We live on an acre and a half and she uses every inch. She loves to run. She will, at times, nip at the heels of the other dogs when they are running inside. She kind of nips and herds at the same time. We have a horse. She's fine with the horse but still unsure of him. This leads me to barking. She does not. I have never heard her bark. She does this cute kind of half woof half howl kind of thing. She does it any time she comes across something new or interesting. It's like she's vocalizing while trying to understand what it is. She eats breakfast and dinner with one of our smaller dogs. She is in no way food aggressive. She loves treats. Marrow bones in particular, although she has to thoroughly sniff it or any treat before she will take it. Again, in her own time. She really cannot be bothered by anything. She loves people. Is not shy or skiddish. She's just her own dog. She loves to play fight and chase with our other dogs. She loves a sit down on the couch. She'll lay in your lap if you let her. Loves pets. She's got the thickest, most gorgeous coat ever. So soft. That being said, she needs brushing, and lots of it. She has that undercoat that you can brush for days and still get hair on the comb. The last time we brushed her outside it looked like a winter wonderland. I would highly recommend a groomer. She has been on Purina Pro Plan puppy since being with us. Wet and dry twice daily. I have teenagers so I don't know how she would do with younger kids. She walks well on a leash.
