Bluetick Coonhounds are striking scent hounds with a distinctive dark blue, mottled coat and a deep, bawling voice. Originally bred for trailing raccoons and other game, they have one of the most powerful noses in the dog world. At home, they are gentle, affectionate, and surprisingly mellow.
