About Nimbus
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Nimbus is a charming, slightly goofy Aussie Cattle Dog and Bluetick Coonhound mix with a heart of gold. At about 4 years old, this 50-pound bundle of personality has a gentle temperament, a playful spirit, and just the right amount of sass to make every day brighter. Nimbus isn’t one for big bear hugs, but he adores holding your hand, giving kisses, and curling up beside you like the loyal sidekick he is. He’s fantastic with other dogs and has a reputation as the peacekeeper during playgroups. Bright and eager to learn, Nimbus is highly motivated by playtime—especially if his beloved squeaky duck is involved! His expressive eyes and abundance of character always make him the center of attention wherever he goes. Nimbus would do best in a calm, steady home, ideally with kids 10 and up, as quick movements can sometimes startle him. He thrives in environments with patient humans who can help him feel safe. He is neutered and will be up to date on vaccinations. Nimbus would love a house with space to run, daily adventures, and a person who enjoys lots of time together. He’s not a fan of being crated or left alone for long stretches and may especially enjoy the company of another friendly dog. With new friends, Nimbus is curious and gentle, showing no signs of aggression. He hasn’t been around cats, but his general approach to new animals has always been friendly. If you’re seeking a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion—plus a squeaky duck enthusiast—Nimbus might be your perfect match. His adoption fee is waived, but potential adopters outside Tennessee will need to arrange for his transport. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
