Hey there, I'm Steve, an 88-pound Terrier mix with a big body and an even bigger baby heart. I'm a sweet, sensitive guy who absolutely loves treats-honestly, I love pretty much any snack you're willing to share. Ask me to sit and I'll plant my bottom down like the goodest boy because I know something tasty might be coming my way! I adore butt scratches, and when you find the right spot, I'll throw my whole hind end into you like I'm trying to merge with your leg. I can be a little jumpy with fast movements, and even though I might look big and tough at first glance, I can be a bit of a scaredy cat underneath it all. I may come off as dominant when you first meet me, but really, I'm just a softie figuring things out. When I get excited, you can spark my zoomies in no time! I love chasing balls and squeaky toys, even though I'll admit I'm hilariously uncoordinated and rarely catch them. Most of the time I'm pretty chill, and when I get comfy, I'm super tolerant of being fussed over and loved on. I might pop up to say hello if I'm extra excited, and I can be a bit independent, but I always circle back for attention and affection. I'm strong and sometimes forget my size-I can be a bit of a bulldozer on leash-so I'll need someone who can help guide me and teach me good manners. With adventure, snacks, and plenty of snuggles, I'll be your loyal, expressive-faced best friend who keeps you smiling every single day. My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
