About Buster

Meet Buster — The Comeback King with a Brave Little Heart Buster’s story didn’t start out easy. He was abandoned in an apartment and ended up at one of our local animal control partners completely shut down — scared, cowering, not eating, and physically depleted. After his neuter, he stopped eating altogether, and his body began to struggle from lack of nutrition. He spent several days at a local emergency hospital before coming to us, and we honestly didn’t know what the outcome would be. But Buster had other plans. With time, medical care, and patience, this 3-year-old survivor has made an incredible recovery. The scared, fragile boy who once hid from the world has rediscovered his spark — and what a personality he has. Buster is playful, expressive, and full of quirky charm. He gives the sweetest nose kisses and enthusiastic headbutts when he trusts you. He loves to play, enjoys splashing and “redecorating” his water bowl, and keeps life interesting. He also has a fondness for scratching furniture and wood (so sturdy scratchers are a must!). He isn’t a fan of other cats and prefers to be your one-and-only feline. He can become overstimulated and may swat or nip if his signals are missed, so he needs an experienced cat owner who understands body language and respects boundaries. Loud noises can startle him, so a calm, quiet home will help him feel secure. He may do okay with a calm, friendly dog. Buster has already survived more than he should have had to. Now he’s ready for a patient, understanding home that sees his resilience, respects his boundaries, and appreciates the brave, affectionate, playful boy he has worked so hard to become. 🖤🐾 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change. The bio is the best place to find the most current and important information about their needs, personality, and ideal home. Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue!
