Meet Juneau. Juneau is estimated to be 8 or 9 months old and is believed to be a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix. She has her foster mom has ever seen on a nine-pound body. She doesnt just look at you she studies you. Like shes quietly asking, Are you safe? Are you mine? She is the gentle one. The little lady. While her sister Winter is off being the spunky, talk-back-to-the-TV type, Juneau is content to simply be close. Her favorite place in the world is your lap or your chest or tucked against the nape of your neck while you sleep. She has perfected the art of making herself impossibly small in bed, so youll wake up wondering where she tucked herself in only to realize shes been there the whole time, quietly keeping you warm. Juneau isnt needy. She just loves connection. She wants to feel loved, and when she does, she melts. Completely. She gives that affection right back in the softest, sweetest way. She doesnt demand attention she leans into it. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and with cats. Shes calmer than her sister, more reserved, more observant. If Winter is Arya Stark, Juneau is Sansa poised, gentle, and quietly strong in her own way. Shes one of the Blizzard babies abandoned in the freezing snow with her siblings and somehow surviving it all. There is something about her that feels grateful. Tender. Like she knows she was given another chance and she plans to spend it being someones cozy little shadow. Juneau doesnt need the spotlight. She just needs a person.
