He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys human attention and has shown himself to be dog-friendly. Dodger is a strong dog, so he’ll do best with an adopter who can confidently handle a larger pup and continue reinforcing good leash manners. Dodger does have allergies and will need to stay on a special diet, so his adopter must have an established veterinarian and be committed to keeping him on the care plan that helps him feel his best. With the right management, Dodger is happy, comfortable, and ready to enjoy life with his person. Dodger is loyal, gentle, and ready to be someone’s devoted companion. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption. If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested. Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
