Ethan Allen was rescued on the brink of death. He had a long recovery, and during the time he got strong and healthy, his socialization lagged and he is my "problem child" - I concentrated on keeping him alive and I forgot to make him friendly. On his own terms, when he is in the mood (usually mornings when he is hungry) he is DEEPLY affectionate. But at other times he is skittish and jumpy. He will hide for a long time in a new environment. But he is pick uppable, can trim nails etc. He LOVES other cats, so if your cat needs a friend, consider Ethan Allen.
