About Madame

Madame is a senior with a gentle, calming presence who’s happiest curled up beside you on the couch. Once the matriarch of a cat colony in NYC, she spent over a decade outside before deciding city life was finally too much. Since coming indoors in July 2024, Madame has blossomed into a mellow companion—she ignores most noises in favor of long naps but perks up the moment she hears food or treats. She doesn’t have teeth anymore, though she’s undeterred when it comes to eating her favorite soft snacks. Madame enjoys following her foster around the house, always ready to offer a drowsy dose of window-gazing updates. She isn’t much for wild play these days, but still enjoys catnip toys and a good roll on the carpet. Her ideal home is a quiet, mellow space with one or two people. Madame is used to other cats and would thrive with feline company, yet she’s content as a solo cat as well. She doesn’t get along with dogs or young kids—her peaceful energy is best matched by like-minded humans and cats. She’s spayed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, dewormed, deflea-ed, and up to date on senior bloodwork. At her age, Madame’s vaccines have been skipped for health reasons, and she manages a couple of chronic health issues with simple, inexpensive care. Oh—and her birthday makes her a sun sign Cancer, which tracks for such a nurturing soul. Give her a safe spot and a soft lap, and she’ll fill your home with quiet warmth.
