Leia is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up! Meet Leia! Leia is the cutest little pup around and part of our Star Wars litter! Mom & puppies were found next to a shipping crate at a warehouse the day that Momma dog gave birth. A kind samaritan took them in and agreed to foster the whole family. Leia was born on 1/2/26 and is 7 weeks old (as of 2/20/2026) and is a female lab mix. She will be fully vaccinated and microchipped before adoption. While Leia is a small pup now, we do estimate she'll grow to be a medium - large sized dog. We have momma dog and she weighs about 65 pounds, but we have no clue about the size / breed of the puppy daddy. This is totally a guess based off of our vet's recommendations. Leia will be adopted out on a spay contract and spayed between 6 months to 1 year of age. Leia is such a young pup that she is friendly with everyone she meets! (dogs, cats & kids). Leia's foster mom describes her as the sweetest pup of the litter. All of the pups from this litter are very well socialized and love to interact with humans and their puppy littermates. Leia has a beautiful licorice coat with white tuxedo markings. Leia has had lots of exposure to different places, car rides, loud noises, etc. She does really well at the vet and getting her nails trimmed. Momma dog is very well mannered and gentle with a perfect temperament. Leia is full of personality and a total puppy. She loves to run around and play with her doggie foster siblings, but also loves to climb in your lap for snuggles. We think she would love another dog in the home to show her the ropes, but this is not necessary, Leia would love a fully fenced yard or an active family as she (and most puppies) have puppy energy she'll need to burn off. All of our puppies under the age of 1 year old are strongly encouraged to attend some form of puppy obedience classes / training with their new adoptive family. Leia is not quite potty trained at this point and we'll be looking for a patient family who will continue to work with her on potty training. Her foster family is doing their best to help her become fully potty trained and we're sure she'll make progress towards being fully potty trained by the time she transports to her new family!
