About Puff
Puff landed at the Hermitage in late 2018 and found a loving family, but returned to shelter life after his owner passed away in December 2025. Despite everything, he’s kept his spirit and his voice—he’s a talker and never shy about sharing his thoughts or greeting you with a story. Puff is also managing hyperthyroidism and takes his meds twice daily. If you want a cat who welcomes a good conversation and isn’t fazed by life’s changes, Puff is worth a meeting. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Puff
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Puff, as a Domestic Short Hair, adapts well to most home settings, including apartments and houses. He’d do best in a calm environment where he can get attention and a few cozy spots to nap.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Domestic Short Hair cats like Puff don’t require outdoor space as long as they have stimulation and places to explore indoors. He’ll enjoy a window view and some toys inside.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic Short Hairs are generally good with children if the kids are gentle and respectful. Puff is a senior, so he might prefer a quieter setting but should do well with cat-savvy older children.
