About Danny And Wally
Meet Danny & Wally ā a bonded pair looking for a loving home Danny is a 4-year-old Dachshund mix weighing about 15 lbs. He is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves attention, cuddling, and kisses. Danny has an average energy level and enjoys playing with balls, chewing on a pig ear or bone, and relaxing on the sofa or a comfy chair. He is mostly housebroken, crate-trained, and knows basic commands such as No, Stop, and Vamos. Danny walks with enthusiasm on a leash and may pull when excited, but does best on his walks with Wallay. He doesn't seem interested in the dogs he passes, unknown with cats, and based on his temperament would probably do well with children. Wally is a sweet, well-mannered, and loving older dog who enjoys walks, human companionship, cuddling, and good food. He walks well on a leash but may pull when he sees cats. Wally loves people, has a calm and submissive temperament, and gets along well with other dogs, including his dachshund-mix brother. He rides quietly in the car and enjoys playing with a ball. Wally is not housebroken yet and has just begun training with belly bands. He does well with baths, knows No, Stop, Vamos, and Stay, and has an average energy level for his age. Due to early arthritis and ongoing house training, a home with a yard and minimal stairs would be best. At 36.6 lbs, Wally considers himself a lap dog and would make a loving, easygoing companion. These dogs lost their home after their owner passed away, and the surviving spouse with dementia was placed in a care facility. With no family able to take them in, Danny and Wally are now looking for a second chance together. Located in Houston, TX. Transport to most states is available for an additional fee of $300, with a generous donor covering the remaining portion.
