Born the runt of a litter of seven, she was the sunshine of the bunch: small but bright, gentle, and full of happy energy. She came to Maine as a friendly, playful puppy and was quickly adopted. Five months later, she's been returned through no fault of her own. Somewhere along the way, her confidence took a hit, and she now startles at some things and needs a bit of reassurance. Sunnie is shy at first, but once she feels safe, her warm, goofy personality blooms. She's incredibly affectionate and will follow "her person" from room to room, lean into you for snuggles, flop over for belly rubs, and happily curl up beside you on the couch. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, super-snuggly companion, she's your girl. She thrives with other dogs. Sunnie lights up when she has a canine friend to romp with -- she'll zoom around the yard with joyful bursts of energy, make playful loops and figure-eights, and then plop down for a happy cuddle pile.
