About Marty
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet Marty, a 40-pound Carolina Dog mix with a splash of Pit Bull and a personality that's impossible to ignore. Marty is the life of the party—always full of spunk, energy, and ready to play with other dogs, settle in for a good chew session, or relax by flopping into the oddest (and funniest) positions on the couch. He adores being close to people and is known for sitting right on you just to be near. While he may initially bark at new visitors or strange sounds, he quickly turns into a sweet, affectionate cuddlebug after a few moments of warming up. The best approach? Give a gentle hello and let Marty come to you. Marty is house trained, walks politely on a leash, and already knows basic commands such as "sit," "paw," and "take nice." He’s great with other dogs and can do well with children, though due to his high energy and goofy play, older or dog-savvy kids would be best. Cat introductions should be slow and supervised, just in case. This boy loves car rides, tasty snacks, and spending time with his people. Marty will thrive in an active household that can provide plenty of exercise, whether that's through regular walks or an enclosed yard for endless playtime. He doesn't enjoy being crated for extended periods, so a home where someone is around most of the time or with another dog to hang out with would be ideal. Marty’s story is heartwarming—rescued on the day he was set for euthanasia, he’s since enjoyed a series of delightful "firsts," including his very first snow and Christmas. His adorable mismatched ears and freckled nose only add to his irresistible charm. Astrologically speaking, with a birthday in early March, Marty is a Pisces—a sign known for being gentle and highly intuitive, often devoted to their loved ones. Marty is still growing up, learning, and eager to find a forever family who can match his enthusiasm and offer plenty of love and guidance. He's truly ready to bring happiness and laughter to his new home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
