About Truffle
Truffle is an affectionate young lady who’s been making big strides in her foster home. Since arriving, she’s warmed up to every member of her foster family and clicked well with all dogs, ranging from 35 to 85 pounds. She handled meeting several cats (from outgoing to feral) calmly, and is content to curl up beside people or animal friends alike. Once afraid of doors, she now follows her foster’s call both in and out without hesitation. Truffle sits for treats and takes them gently, always eager to please. She’s fully house trained and signals clearly when she needs to go outside, either by nudging her foster or doling out kisses. While some leash training is still underway, Truffle continues picking things up quickly. She loves a good snuggle, prefers to sleep with people, and happily shares space with friendly cats and dogs. She’s crate trained when left alone and will need plenty of chew toys, or she’ll carry off the nearest sock or remote just for fun. Active play is a favorite—she’s quick on her feet and enjoys roughhousing with her canine pack. She does best in a home where other dogs set a good example or humans give direction, as she isn’t an alpha. While she hasn’t lived with young children, she’s proven gentle with those she knows. Truffle is looking for a patient human who wants a steadfast snuggle buddy and a safe place to keep building her confidence. Born under the sign of Scorpio, she’ll bring plenty of loyal energy to her future family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
