AvailableAbout Lee Marvin
Some dogs are born to be background extras… but I was made to be the leading man. I’m Lee Marvin, a 9 month old, 43 pound (and growing!) Boxer mix with serious movie-star charm and enough energy to power an entire film set. I’ve got star quality in everything I do — whether I’m sprinting in joyful circles like I just won an award, wrestling with my dog buddies like I’m filming an action scene, or dramatically inhaling my food. I’m a smart, high-energy guy who already knows my basic commands like a pro: Sit, Lay down, Stay and Shake. I’m also working hard on my house training, crate training, and leash training. I’m doing really well when I’m kept on a schedule — I potty outside regularly and have very few accidents indoors. I also sleep a solid 10 hours a night in my kennel, and during the day I’m trusted to free roam like the confident star I am. Now, let’s talk about my “stunt work.” I’m athletic… like, ridiculously athletic. I can scale a 4-foot chain link fence with ease, so I must have a privacy fence to keep me safe. And I’m also a bit of an escape artist — I can break out of a normal kennel, so I need a spring-loaded, latched crate that can actually hold a superstar like me. I’m great with other dogs, especially dogs my size or bigger — but I play rough, and I like a good wrestling match. I’d do best with a confident fur sibling who can match my energy and doesn’t mind a little “action movie” style playtime. One important thing: I have a high prey drive, so I’m a no-go for small animals and that includes small dogs too. Even with all my big energy, I’ve got a soft side too. I’m a total snuggle bug, and I’ll happily crawl right into your lap just to fall asleep. I love my people and honestly I want to be with you all the time. I’m the kind of dog who doesn’t want to miss a single scene. I also love toys and can entertain myself for long stretches — and if you’ve got treats? Forget it. I’ll do just about anything for one. What I really need is a family that’s active, patient, and willing to keep helping me learn and grow. I’m young, I’m eager, and I’m absolutely ready to become the best co-star you’ve ever had. So if you’re looking for a funny, athletic, loyal, treat-motivated heartthrob with blockbuster energy… Lee Marvin is ready for his forever home premiere. My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
