You clicked on a profile of a cat that is a senior so we already know you are a kind person who wants to help out a hard to adopt Kitty. Thurgood has been surviving on the street for over 9 years he would sit on neighbor's porches and hang out with indoor outdoor cats but he never had a home of his own. When we got him in he had a bad upper respiratory infection and was so dirty. And so so hungry. We feel it's ready for this boy to retire in comfort. He is not without his quirks as you would imagine for a cat who had to be scrappy for his survival. He would lunge at the food bowl so ferociously, it broke our hearts. But now that he is steady regular meals a day, he has calmed down tremendously and he's more patient about letting you put the food bowl down before he tries to dive in. He is very affectionate but then he can get cranky and not want any more pets which is something that cats commonly do. And at his ripe age we will forgive him that. A full bowl of food and a spot in the sunshine and human company is all this boy needs for the rest of his days. In return he will Grace you with his stunning looks and the good karma that comes from adopting a cat that is 10 years old. He is used to being around other cats but he's also used to having to fight for his food so if you have other cats it would have to be a very slow introduction by an experienced cat owner. Given time and space we think he would do fine. He would also not mind being an only cat.
