Deano and his sister Summer are a deeply bonded pair who need to be adopted together. Deano is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a shy and gentle nature, especially since he's losing his eyesight. He adjusts slowly but finds real comfort cuddled up on a warm lap. He walks well on leash, dozes peacefully during car rides, and spends much of the day napping until it’s time for a meal. Deano is fully potty trained and is not a marker—he’ll patiently wait to go outside or use a potty pad if needed. Summer keeps everyone on their toes with her surprising energy for her age, and she brings the toys once she’s settled in. She’s open, social, and quick to adjust, happy to greet new faces and snuggle on the couch. Summer has some harmless lumps, but the vet has cleared her. Both dogs lost their longtime owner recently and have been each other’s stability through a difficult transition. They are looking for a home with no stairs or pool for Deano’s safety and must be picked up in person in Clovis, California.
