About Bolt
Bolt, a small black and white poodle mix, has been with the rescue for about a year after being found alone and disoriented on the street. He loves being picked up for cuddles and never misses a chance to play with toys or hang out with volunteers. Bolt can be a bit protective—he likes to bark and guard his space when someone approaches the door, but once inside, he’s surprisingly tolerant and lets everyone walk through his yard. Grooming is an adventure: Bolt needs a calm, confident groomer who isn’t afraid to use a muzzle to keep the process safe for everyone. He’s learning to relax and adapt and has gone from bolting at open kennels to being much calmer. This dog isn’t fully house trained yet, but he keeps his kennel clean and clearly wants to please. Bolt gets along with other dogs, but not with cats. New adopters should watch him closely around doors and gates since he’s still gaining trust and confidence. With time and patience, Bolt is ready to build a loyal bond with someone who appreciates his quirky mix of toughness and affection. Click apply to start the adoption process.
