Meet Sugars - a gentle girl ready for her forever home Sugars is a familiar face here, and not by choice. She has visited the shelter six times, and heartbreakingly, this last time her family didn't come back for her. Now this sweet senior is hoping her next stop will truly be her last - a loving home where she can finally feel safe and secure. Sugars is 9 years old and weighs 68 pounds. She has previously lived with other dogs, and we've learned she has also been around children. She's a gentle, kind soul who isn't asking for much - just stability, comfort, and people who will love her for the rest of her days. Sugars does have a bit of an adventurous streak and likes to wander, so she'll need a securely fenced yard with supervision or a family committed to leash-only outings. With the right setup, she'll thrive and reward her people with endless loyalty and affection. Sugars is available for adoption or foster and would love nothing more than a safe place to finally call home. Let's make sure her next chapter is the one she's been waiting for. ~~~~~ The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
