He gets along well with older kids and prefers peaceful routines—sunbathing, curling up inside, and keeping a quiet watch over his space with the occasional alert bark. Smokey walks best in a comfortable harness that won’t put pressure on his sensitive neck, a reminder of his past injury. He’s house trained, vaccinated, and neutered, and he’s about five years old. Smokey is looking for a steady home in the Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, White Rock, or Los Alamos area, ideally with someone patient and calm who will let him settle in at his own speed.
