About Janie
Janie is an affectionate young shepherd mix who never tires of being close to her people. She’s quick to offer cuddles, often looking up at you with a hopeful, dreamy gaze, clearly soaking up any affection sent her way. Her enthusiasm sometimes gets the best of her: greetings often come with a burst of energy and excited face kisses, but she’s currently learning to greet everyone with all four paws on the ground. Her ability to bond deeply, her sensitivity, and her intelligence make Janie a classic shepherd at heart. She thrives best in homes where companionship is a given—someone who works remotely or a family that’s home most of the day would make Janie happiest. She needs affection, some structure, and gentle, ongoing guidance. Routine and regular human contact help her shine. With other dogs, she does well with calm, tolerant, larger male playmates who don’t mind her up-close and personal play style. Janie does not get along with cats but is great with children and enjoys the company of other dogs. Born July 17, 2023, Janie is a Cancer, so it’s no wonder she’s such a sensitive, loving soul. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully house trained. For meet-and-greet opportunities and support after adoption, you’ll need to be near Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, White Rock, or Los Alamos. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
