About Egypt
Egypt is a small, long-haired Sheltie with a soft, sable coat that is still growing back on her lower back due to an overly assertive dog she lived with before arriving at the rescue. She came from a commercial breeding background and has taken her time learning to trust people. Egypt is very shy, preferring quiet environments where she can warm up and feel secure. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body—just a gentle, cautious demeanor. She gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t bark more than necessary. Egypt now bravely approaches her foster family for attention and, once in a lap, settles in and falls asleep, enjoying every moment of gentle cuddles. With time, she surprises her foster mom with soft kisses but still startles easily. Egypt has started to play a bit with other dogs, revealing a sweet, curious side. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, house trained, and has had a recent dental cleaning. Egypt requires a securely fenced yard, and a calm, patient home where her confidence can continue to grow. Click apply to start the adoption process.
