About Grace
Grace is a small, black and white Sheltie with a big personality. Weighing under 20 pounds, she likes her walks, often nose to the ground, taking her time and enjoying the scents around her. She used to pull hard in her harness but has gotten a lot better with practice. In the car, Grace must be crated—she'll try to climb into the driver’s lap if not, and everyone stays safer when she's contained. Grace prefers to be the only dog in the home. Although she can coexist with others, she rarely engages in play and focuses more on her person. She needs someone willing to be a confident, firm leader to guide her, especially since she can get nervous in new situations. She's independent but becomes a cuddler once she trusts you, enjoying petting and brushing when she feels settled. Approved adopters must meet Grace before starting a trial placement.
