About Peach
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Peach! Peach is soft, sensitive, and quietly trying her best. She is a 4-year-old dog who is extremely shy and cautious around people. Peach can peacefully coexist with humans, but she has significant stranger danger and will always choose to avoid interaction when possible. Trust with Peach is never rushed—it is earned slowly, gently, and always on her terms. While food helps motivate her, people remain a source of anxiety. Peach is currently learning how to walk on a leash and gains confidence in small, secure spaces where she feels safe enough to watch the world go by. From there, she's beginning to venture out one careful step at a time. For Peach, slow and steady truly wins the race. Her true comfort comes from the companionship of other dogs. Peach needs a confident, kind dog as a companion and mentor in her future home. She thrives with another dog to follow, learning household routines by observing them and feeling anxiety when left without a canine friend. Dogs older than 6 months are her preferred companions, especially those who are calm and friendly. If you're seeking a gentle, loyal friend for your dog, Peach could be the perfect fit. Peach is crate trained and house trained as long as there is another dog in the home for guidance. She is content sleeping in your room at night, finding comfort simply by being near. When it comes to cats, Peach is indifferent unless they attempt to take her food—then she shows gentle but clear boundaries. Peach would flourish in a quiet, adult-only home without children, where there is minimal foot traffic and guardians who understand that love isn't always about cuddles. With Peach, love means patience, consistency, and allowing her to progress at her own speed. If your home has a friendly dog and your heart is ready to help a shy soul blossom, Peach may be exactly who your family needs. Peach is spayed, vaccinated, and chipped. Her adoption fee is $150. Questions about Peach
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas are best suited for indoor living and thrive in calm, stable environments. They do especially well in apartments or small homes due to their petite size, but they benefit from a safe, quiet area where they can feel secure.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This breed doesn't require a large amount of outdoor space. Regular walks and opportunities for supervised outdoor play are sufficient for a Chihuahua to stay happy and healthy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can be suitable for families with respectful older children, but due to their small size and sensitivity, they prefer calm households. Young, energetic children may unintentionally overwhelm or injure them.
