Okra is a four-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound waiting for a new home in Tallahassee. She strikes a good balance between bursts of activity and quiet downtime; one minute she’s ready to go for a run, the next she’ll curl up for a long nap. Okra gets along well with children and male dogs, though she’s not been tested with cats yet. She’s reliably housetrained and does fine with free run of the house when left alone. On leash, Okra is an energetic running partner, and she’s had training to pick up basic commands. She’s known for being vocal when the mood strikes, but can also be very quiet and observant.
