Meet Kira 1 year old Retriever Mix Kira is a beautiful, sweet young retriever mix whose world has recently changed in a big way. Her owner is being forced to leave the country due to citizenship issues, and Kira understandably finds herself feeling a little nervous and confused as she adjusts to this sudden transition. Despite the uncertainty, Kira remains kind and gentle. She is friendly with people and does well with other dogs, showing the loving nature that makes retrievers so special. She just needs a little time, patience, and reassurance to feel safe again. Kira will be given time to decompress and settle in, and once she's comfortable, she will be vaccinated and heartworm tested. What she needs most right now is a family willing to offer stability, kindness, and love as she finds her footing again. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet soul who simply needs someone to choose her, Kira is waiting. The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
