About Clyde
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet Clyde, a big-hearted Plott hound of about 9 years old who found himself at HOPE Animal Shelter after his former owner never returned for him. Clyde is a classic hound—sweet-natured and independent, often content to wander and explore his surroundings with his nose to the ground. He’ll be happiest in a home with plenty of outdoor space for supervised adventures, yet HOPE hopes he’ll finally become a true indoor companion. He deserves a cozy couch or a soft bed to nap on, surrounded by a caring family ready to shower him with love and delicious meals. So far, Clyde gets along well with most dogs, though proper introductions are recommended if you have other dogs at home. Because he sometimes guards special treats like peanut butter lick mats, it’s best to feed him separately from other pets and children to help him feel safe. Clyde just needs a loving, forever home where he can settle in and thrive. Your new best friend is just one click away.
