About Kardi
Kardi is a gentle, 8-year-old Boxer who’s ready to find a comfortable retirement home. She’s spayed, current on all vaccinations, and currently fostered in Stanwood, WA. After losing her previous home due to her family’s circumstances, Kardi settled in quickly and is already showing her affectionate, easygoing personality. You’ll find her happiest curled up on the couch or bed, basking in a lazy afternoon with her people. Her fur is especially soft for a Boxer, and she never turns down a bit of petting time. She has a calm and patient nature—especially evident with the toddler in her foster home—and even handled her first bath with ease. Kardi does have hip dysplasia but is well managed with weekly shots. She navigates stairs comfortably and still enjoys gentle, slow-paced activities, which suit her age perfectly. She’s friendly with other dogs and has fit seamlessly into her foster pack, though she’d also be content as the only dog in the home. Mealtime is easy, as she free-feeds responsibly without overeating. Kardi sometimes has accidents during the day if she isn’t let out frequently, but sleeps through the night reliably. She’d thrive in a quiet, one-level living arrangement with someone home most of the day—perfect for retirees or folks working from home who can offer her plenty of companionship and regular outdoor breaks. She’s looking for a calm, steady presence to call her own during her golden years. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
