About Leo
Click apply to start the adoption process. Get ready to meet Leo, a gentle giant whose favorite pastime is cruising in the car with the windows down, soaking in all the world’s scents. When he’s not supervising the neighborhood as the resident watch dog, Leo enjoys lounging at home, munching happily on his yak-cheese treats, and heading out for relaxing walks. He’s especially fond of spending time with his friends—canine and human alike. Whether it’s playtime with Dachshunds and big dogs or gentle interactions with the 4-year-old next door, Leo adjusts beautifully to companions of all sizes. Though he can be a little stubborn at times, Leo learns quickly when given patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He’s used to moving about his home freely, but he’ll settle comfortably in a crate when needed. Leo is learning to manage some separation anxiety and would do best in a family with another dog for company while his humans are away. Fun fact: Leo was born under the sign of Capricorn—Capricorns are known for their loyalty, diligence, and loving nature, which shines through in everything he does. Ready to fall in love?
