About Daddio
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Daddio's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Hey cool cats! Meet Daddio, a 1.5-year-old Cane Corso / Lab mix, weighing 55-60 pounds (as of 2/3/26). This dreamboat was found as a stray, wandering the streets of Mississippi playing the blues on his harmonica. But happy days are coming once he finds his fur-ever home with you! If we could sum up this guy in three words it'd be: Friendly, affectionate and resilient. While he had a rough time on the streets, he doesn't let that affect him one bit! This guy makes friends with everyone he meets and while he doesn't have experience with children yet, he's interested to see what these little humans are all about. One look into his soulful eyes and you'll be mesmerized by his grace and charm. Daddio is leash-trained and has experience with crates, so you don't have to worry about him running off to start a jazz band (though we can't promise he won't start one in your basement)! When it comes to his fellow dogs, Daddio is happy to coexist, but can be fine either way. It's all about peace and love with this one. Daddio will just need some patience from his future family since he's currently living outdoors with a foster and may need extra help adjusting to indoor living and commands. But he's excited to learn and grow with the right person or family! For your help, he'll even let you join his jazz band! You'll just be waaaaaayyyyy in the back. This calm, cool and collected boy would be great in any home. Adopt Daddio today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Daddio, you must fill out an adoption application. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
