About Trouble Twinkle

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Trouble Twinkle's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Trouble Twinkle, a 7-month-old Hound mix, weighing about 34 pounds (as of 3/29/26). This affectionate girl and the rest of her Twinkle litter were sadly surrendered by neglectful owners in Tennessee, but she can't wait to come home to you! Trouble was most likely named on Opposite Day because she is anything BUT trouble! She's a really active, fun, go-go-go girl who likes to keep you guessing. You'll have loads of fun playing and exploring new places with Trouble by your side. Trouble always enjoys having something to do and isn't afraid of anything. Yup. Not even afraid of the ghosts haunting your apartment. This girl is fearless! In fact, she'll even encourage you to eat that worm you found in a ditch! We don't recommend it, but if you're auditioning for Fear Factor, by all means go ahead! If you're the type to love water parks, Trouble is all in! She loves having water sprayed at her and will chase it around 'cause it's so refreshing. She's good for any adventure that a family wants to have. Her beautiful eyes will capture your attention, but it's her easygoing attitude that makes her stand out among dogs, strangers, and kids. She hasn't met cats yet, but she's curious to see what they're all about too! This girl is a free spirit who's looking to get into some *good* trouble! While Trouble doesn't know too many commands, she'll catch on with routine. She asks that her future family has patience with her since she's not house trained or had experience with leashes yet, but she does well with crating! Trouble is a beauty who's looking for the perfect family. Bring her home today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Trouble Twinkle, you must fill out an adoption application. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
