About Mary Jane

Mary Jane, or MJ, is a 12-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier with a big, sassy personality and a soft spot for sunny spots and snacks. Now in her golden years, she's blossomed in foster care and is ready to settle into a home that will give her love, predictable routines, and plenty of treats. MJ is crate trained and thrives with structure. While she's still working on her potty training, she's making steady progress. In the meantime, she could use a family willing to help her by being present more often or using doggy diapers to prevent accidents. Despite her age, MJ has a good amount of energy for leisurely walks and still loves exploring the world. Her absolute favorite thing is food, and she will politely sit and eagerly follow anyone who has a tasty treat in hand. She gets along well with other dogs — especially those unfazed by her affectionate, sometimes in-your-face style. Since she's deaf, not much disturbs her; you’ll find her snoozing through vacuums and thunderstorms, most often basking in a patch of warm sunlight. MJ is a gentle, sweet old soul looking for someone to share her sparkle and offer a cozy bed, regular belly rubs, and, above all, a loving retirement. If you're looking for a devoted senior companion who loves good company and the occasional snack parade, Mary Jane could be just the one. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
