Riley
AvailableRiley is a senior Jack Russell Terrier living in Bradenton, FL. At around 11 and a half years old, he’s a neutered male with a gentle nature and fully house trained. He does well with other dogs, preferring a peaceful environment that matches his low-key lifestyle.
About Riley
Riley is an older Jack Russell mix who spent time as a stray before landing in the shelter, where he was terrified by all the noise and movement. At about 22 pounds and pushing 12 years old, Riley does best in quieter homes with gentle routines. He’s recently overcome pneumonia and is now a normal, mellow guy—quiet, slow-paced, and perfectly content with short walks and a sunny place to nap. He enjoys petting but isn’t demanding about attention, and he’s completely housebroken—he’ll even bark to go outside and puts himself to bed in his crate. Riley gets along with dogs in the home but prefers not to interact closely, so a setting with one other calm dog or as an only pet suits him. He loves his meals, has a good appetite, and is happiest with a soft place to relax. Riley would be an easy fit for a senior couple or anyone wanting a low-needs, calm companion who appreciates the simple things. Give this sweet, undemanding boy the quiet retirement he deserves. Your new best friend is just one click away.
