About Lumi
Casper and Lumi are not the easy-case dogs, and you should know that right away. After a hard start to life, they've spent nearly a year in foster care in Sarasota, FL, and haven't gotten a single application yet. Their past left them wary of people and hesitant in new situations, but both are trying every day to figure out what it means to trust and relax. The progress is real—Lumi lights up when she sees her person, tail wagging, happy noises, and she's learned to nudge your toes if you’re lying down. She’s most comfortable being touched in her crate and builds confidence at her own pace, often following Casper's lead. These two are a bonded pair and inseparable. They are food-motivated, enjoy toys and chew bones, and are mostly house trained. Both are excellent with other dogs and gravitate toward calm, confident canine friends. Still, Lumi and Casper need a calm, patient household with a securely fenced yard and without small kids. Their adopter must understand that trust is earned over time—worth it, but not simple. Lumi is about two and a half years old and has so much potential for growth and love with the right person.
