About Jorts
JORTS - The Big-Hearted Goofball with Retriever-Energy (and Size) Meet Jorts, a 4-year-old, 79-pound neutered male who somehow manages to be gentle and oversized puppy at the exact same time. Jorts is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and house trained, with a solid grasp of basic commands. He was returned when his family welcomed a newborn, and while that chapter closed, Jorts is more than ready to open a new one with people who have time for love, laughter, and a little clumsy joy. This guy is incredibly loving, sweet, and soft-hearted. He's the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything. Errands? Team activity. Yard time? Team activity. Sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing? Still a team activity. He prefers not being left alone and thrives when he feels included and connected. Because of his large size and some anxiety, Jorts would do best in a home with older, dog-respectful kids who understand boundaries. He does wonderfully with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to romp with. A secure yard and active family would be his dream setup. Somewhere he can stretch his legs, chase the breeze, and then crash hard for cuddle time. Jorts can be a little nervous around new people at first, but once he settles in, his personality blooms. You'll see it in his giant smile, his happy body language, and his insistence on staying close by your side. He's smart, affectionate, a bit dopey, slightly clumsy, and completely endearing. Honestly, the clumsiness is part of the magic. If you're looking for a loyal shadow, a big-hearted teammate, and a dog who loves with his whole body and soul, Jorts might just be your guy.
