About Bear
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Bear! Bear is about 4-5 years old and arrived at RISE Rescue Alliance after being left behind when a local shelter closed. This sweet and devoted boy forms deep bonds with his people and captures hearts with his Rottweiler-like charm. Although his exact breed mix isn't certain, his loyal and affectionate nature shines through. Bear is housebroken and crate trained, and he loves earning treats for good behavior. He's been living with a trainer, where he picked up excellent manners—being great on a leash, responsive to cues, cooperative for grooming, and enjoying car rides. Bear does very well with other dogs and is happiest when working for food or accompanying his trusted humans. Bear may be a little cautious around new people, especially those who are overly enthusiastic, so he'd thrive with an adopter who can advocate for him and help him continue building confidence. Once he knows you, Bear proves he's the kindest companion and always aims to be "the goodest boy." They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
